Nora Barton, Cello

Nora Barton grew up in Lexington, KY. She received her Bachelor of Music degree in cello performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in 2006, where she studied with Lee Fiser. Nora has participated in several music festivals, including CCM's "MusicX" and The Opera Theatre and Music Festival of Lucca, Italy. She is a recent graduate of the Chicago College of Performing Arts, receiving the Master of Music degree under the tutelage of John Sharp. Nora is an active member of Classical Revolution Chicago, an organization that presents concerts in nontraditional venues, revolutionizing the way classical music is programmed and heard.

Aleida Gehrels, Violin

Violist Aleida Gehrels made her solo debut at the age of 16 with the Tucson Pops Orchestra, and has since been engaged for concertos with the Tucson Chamber Orchestra, the Rincon Chamber Orchestra, and the Echo Glen Chamber Orchestra.  Currently in high demand as a chamber musician, Aleida has been featured in recitals throughout the United States, Italy, Canada, Japan, China, and Mexico.  She has served as principal violist of the CCPA Symphony Orchestra, Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra, Northwest Festival Orchestra, Arizona Symphony, Sierra Vista Symphony, Tucson Chamber Orchestra, and the Rincon Chamber Orchestra.  In May 2010, Aleida received her Masters of Music degree while studying with Roger Chase at the Chicago College of Performing Arts.

Yuriy Geyer, Violin

Founding member of the Silhouette Strings, Yuriy received his degree in Violin Performance from Northwestern University. Making his solo debut at the age of 10 with the Florida Symphony Orchestra, Yuriy went on to receive numerous prestigious awards including first prizes at the Music Teachers National Association Violin competition, Bach Festival Society Violin competition, and a fellowship grant from the Aspen Music Festival. He served as a member of the Florida Orchestra, Orlando Philharmonic, South Bend Symphony and Illinois Symphony Orchestra, and as the concertmaster of the Opera Moda Orchestra, Northwest Festival Orchestra, and Northwestern University Symphony Orchestra.

Byron Huey, Cello

Byron Huey began his studies at the Colburn School of Performing Arts.  He received his bachelors degree from the University of Southern California studying with Ronald Leonard.  At Northwestern University, he received a masters degree studying with Hans Jorgen Jensen. Currently, he is an active freelance cellist who teaches and plays with South Bend Symphony Orchestra, Elmhurst Symphony, Rockford Symphony Orchestra and Grand Rapids Symphony.  In the past, Byron has participated in festivals such as Green Lake Music Festival, National Repertory Orchestra, Texas Music Festival, Aspen Music Festival and Encore School for Strings.  Previous instructors include Alan Harris, Richard Weiss, Richard Naill, and Nancy Yamagata.
